Jakarta, Indonesia. KidZania Journal. February 14, 2012. (English). KidZania Jakarta in collaboration with Salonpas (Hisamitsu Pharma Indonesia PT), introduced today the new chiropractor profession at the Salonpas Chiropractic Center in KidZania Jakarta.
The opening ceremony took place at the Metropolitan Theater of KidZania Jakarta, where Ms. Uchu Riza (Governor of KidZania Indonesia) was accompanied by Mr. Takehiko Noda (Managing Director, Hisamitsi Pharmaceutical Co. Inc.), and Mr. Anthony Tan (Executive Officer, PT Rodamas). During the opening ceremony, Ms. Uchu Riza delivered the Key to the City to Mr. Hiramatsu Taro, President Director of PT Hisamitsu Pharma Indonesia.
In her speech, Ibu Uchu said that “the profession of a chiropractor needs to be introduced to the children of Indonesia, because in everyday life, we have to know the world of medicine. Chiropractic is a system of complementary medicine based on the diagnosis and manipulative treatment of misalignments of the joints, especially those of the spinal column, with the hypothesis that these disorders affect health via the nervous system. Chiropractic is a well-established health profession in the United States, Canada and Australia, being the third largest medical profession in these countries, after general practitioners and dentists. This profession is now becoming well-known among people in Indonesia”, said Uchu Riza.
The new Chiropractic Center will become a favorite place for children, providing opportunities for them to experience being a chiropractor. Visitors are invited to examine and analyze bone and muscle structures through an X-ray device.
The establishment has an area of 3.21 m2 and a capacity of four. Children will perform the role of chiropractic practitioner during 25 minutes. After finishing the activity, young chiropractors will earn a salary of 15 kidZos.
