Mumbai, India. July 5th 2018. The Taj Lands End hotel at Mumbai was the stage that hosted the 7th edition of the World Education Congress (WEC) 2018, a gathering of representatives of relevant educational institutions, government education authorities from various countries from MENA and South East Asia, and companies from the education and technology sectors, in which its participants discussed evolving trends in education.
Global Awards – Education Leadership Award
A key part of this Congress is the ceremony of the Global Awards, accolades that appraise those leaders that make relevant contributions in the field of education. In this year’s edition, Dr. Ger Graus, received the Education Leadership Award in recognition of his work as KidZania’s Director of Education.
Dr. Graus has participated in numerous forums and events, spreading the word about KidZania’s pedagogical approach, Experiential Learning, which aims to encourage, develop and reinforce children’s expertise, skills and values through the medium of role-play.
Also, on behalf of KidZania, he has encouraged the development of alliances and partnerships with key educational and governmental institutions worldwide, in an attempt to create learning frameworks that highlight children’s individuality, broaden their knowledge and help them become responsible citizens that can make positive changes in their surroundings.
Global EduTech Award – Best Edutainment Platform
Moreover, the WEC 2018 also hosted the Global EduTech Awards, where KidZania was awarded as Best Edutainment Platform in recognition of its innovative family entertainment concept that combines learning and fun, through ultra-realistic role-playing activities for kids aged 2-14.
This award acknowledges KidZania as a leader in education technology that demonstrates guidance, integrity and an outstanding commitment to children’s development worldwide.
