DELHI, India. KidZania Journal. May 26, 2016. (English). -Today, KidZania Delhi NCR opened its doors to tourists, becoming the 24th location of the edutainment nation and the second in India, after its sister city KidZania Mumbai.
The excitement started last night, at the protocolary Foundation Ceremony of KidZania Delhi NCR, in which India’s Government Officials, Industry Partners’ representatives, celebrities and KidZania Kabinet members, Central and State Government officials, friends and family bore witness the lighting of the 24th Eternal Spirit of the edutainment nation phenomenon.
The beautiful ceremony included speeches from Mr. Paras Chandaria –CEO, Comcraft– and Mr. Xavier Lopez Ancona –President and Founder, KidZania.
KidZania Delhi NCR is built like a city where children can independently explore and choose to role-play from 90+ exciting careers like pilot, surgeon, sound engineer, chef, fire fighter, among many more. KidZania emulates the workings of a city, complete with a functioning economy and its own currency. Each experience is designed to empower kids, giving them the confidence to be their best selves, and inspiration to be great global citizens.
KidZania Delhi NCR is operated by Imagination Edutainment India Pvt. Ltd., whose shareholders are KidZ Inc Pte. Ltd.—promoted by Comcraft Group, Xander Group and Maxfield Management—with 74 per cent holding, and actor Shah Rukh Khan with 26 per cent. KidZania India currently has two facilities, KidZania Mumbai—which opened three years ago—and the recently open KidZania Delhi NCR. Bengaluru has been identified as the location for the third KidZania facility in India.
This morning, at the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, KidZania Delhi NCR officially opened to tourists. Spread across 3 levels at Entertainment City Noida, KidZania Delhi NCR is KidZania’s first standalone facility in India, whose building has been designed as a Green Building, with insulated roof and wall panels, renewable energy through solar, water conservation & recycling, LED lighting and other energy-saving features. The city spanning over 96,000 sq. ft. (8,900 sq. m.) includes 57 establishments that offer 90+ role-play activities, including:

Twenty five Industry Partners represent their trades in KidZania Delhi NCR, including local brands such as: Amiown, Amity, Aquaguard, Bajaj Electricals, Big Bazaar, Ezone, Frooti, FSM, Maruti Suzuki, Parachute, Parle Products, Pepperfry.com, Radio City, Shiamak, The Times of India, Toonz Animation, Yes Bank and VLCC; as well as international brands like: Adidas, Domino’s Pizza, Dunkin’ Donuts, Kellogg’s, Kinder Joy, Paddle Pop and Zespri.
With a total investment of ₹100 crore, KidZania Delhi NCR expects to receive 500,000 visitors annually.
