ISTANBUL, Turkey. KidZania Journal. April 30th, 2014. (English). –This morning, KidZania Istanbul had its ribbon-cutting ceremony and was officially declarated open to the public. At 10:00am, industry partners’ representatives, friends from KidZania states and metropolises around the world, as well as members of the Central Government of KidZania, arrived at the airport counters of KidZania Istanbul to witness the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the 16th KidZania metropolis.
Mrs. Meral Molinas –Doğu Bati–, Mr. Mair Kasuto –Chairman of Doğu Bati–, Mr. Avni Çelik –President of Sinpaş–, H. E. Martha Bárcena –Ambassador of Mexico to Turkey–, Raif Ali Dinçkök –Akkök–, Ms. Lara Sayinsoy –Governor of KidZania Turkey–, and Mr. Xavier López –President of KidZania– cut the ribbon and officially inaugurated the opening of KidZania Istanbul to the public.
KidZania Istanbul is an 9,420 square meter (101,396 square foot) kid-sized city complete with 67 real-world establishments, including a city hall, bank, restaurants, hospital, police station, university, driving streets, stadium, museum and more. Once in the city, kids choose from more than 90 careers, including doctor, pilot, chef, archaeologist, actor, actress, or fireman.
