Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin launched the foundation day of the KidZania Kuala Lumpur, a children’s theme park at The Curve NX, Mutiara Damansara, here in conjunction with its official opening Tuesday.KidZania is a family educational entertainment centre offering educational experience and entertainment on an interactive basis for children, the first of its kind in Malaysia.
At the function, Muhyiddin, who was accompanied by the chief executive officer and managing director of Themed Attractions and Resort Sdn Bhd, the project developer, Tunku Datuk Ahmad Burhanuddin, was also presented with the key to KidZania City, to be presented to charity bodies of his choice for an open invitation for four days to the park.
The Deputy Prime Minister spent about one hour visiting the theme park and observing several activities such as rock climbing, fire fighting and flight simulation by AirAsia.
Measuring more than 80,000 sq ft, KidZania is strategically located opposite the shopping complex, The Curve, and offers 90 types of games involving 60 organisations including AirAsia, Celcom Axiata, Dell Malaysia and Nippon Paint Berhad.
Entrance fee to the park, which can accommodate 1,700 people at any one time, is RM55 for children and RM35 for an adult.
