Las Mejores Empresas Mexicanas recognizes best practices and business management abilities of medium-sized, private Mexican companies.
Mexico City, September 12th, 2011. KidZania has been named one of the Best Mexican Companies of 2011 by the group Las Mejores Empresas Mexicanas. The honor recognizes medium-sized, private Mexican companies that have adopted best practices and business management strategies that make them stand out as the top corporations in Mexico.
The Best Mexican Companies initiative is supported by Banco Nacional de México, Mexico’s second largest bank; Deloitte, the world’s largest private professional services organization; and Tecnológico de Monterrey, one of the largest private, nonsectarian and coeducational multi-campus universities in Latin America. Companies are chosen based on a Deloitte model which looks at financial, technology, talent and risk management, as well as business model and strategy.
For the 2011 list of The Best Mexican Companies, more than 200 firms registered, but only 76 advanced to the third and final phase of the process. After a thorough analysis by local and international business experts, KidZania was one of only 29 Mexican companies to earn the distinction of a 2011 Best Mexican Company.
According to Xavier Lopez, President of KidZania: “It is an incredible honor to be recognized by such established business leaders. This would not have been possible without the continued support and passion of the entire KidZania team and the Ministry Committee we created to gather the information and documents during the application process.”
The Best Mexican Companies program was introduced in Mexico last year, after the experience in other countries such as Canada (18 years), Ireland (3 years) and the Netherlands (2 years).
